We make two types of games here at Knucklingbone Press, both of which are designed for enjoyment ’round the old table-top: Role-Playing Games and Miniatures Games. The former are exactly what it says, and generally require of you only the rules, dice, players, pens and paper, materially speaking. One is free to include miniatures in gameplay, but the rules do not require it.
The miniatures games fall under a heading referred to as “miniatures agnostic,” which means that they don’t know if miniatures exist, but are willing to accept– wait, that’s not it. It means that we do not produce miniatures specific to the games, and you are free to use whatever representatives you like, from cardstock cutouts to toys to those fancy little plastic and metal figures crafted by professionals. Most of the games operate on assumptions of a certain scale, so the miniatures are expected to be in the size range of the more popular operations on the market — on bases roughly between 25mm and 40mm. If you use significantly larger or smaller models, you may find it prudent to adjust the distances in the game(s) to match.
As we are just beginning, the pickings here will be few, but fear not: Even now dutiful spirits are grinding away in the idea factory, forging the next round of projects to delight and astound.
